Ants visit houses all the time. There are tons of ways to get rid of them on the internet, but this one turns out to be one of the most effective.
The secret to this method is borax, which can be found in many cleaning products. You can buy borax in a supermarket or online stores. In addition to this substance, you need two more ingredients.
– 1 glass of warm water,
– 1/2 cup of sugar,
– 2 tablespoons of Borax.
The whole procedure is very simple and it only takes a few minutes to prepare the trap, and you will certainly be able to protect the house from these small insects.
Combine borax, water and sugar in one pot. Then take a cotton ball or cotton wool and make a few balls of it. Dip them in the mixture and place them in the place where you see ants most likely, i.e. next to windows, doors and door frames. Ants can also appear in the kitchen, so you should leave a few traps in this room.
Deal with ants using vinegar
If you want to try other methods without borax, you can try the good old vinegar method, which will always save you from difficult situations. All you need to do is put the vinegar on a cloth or a soft tissue and rub it in places where insects are the most common. Put a little bit on the door frame and spray on the gaps near the windows.
Ants in the apartment – how to fight them?
Ants are also a common problem in apartments. This is because insects wander in search of a suitable place to live. So how to get rid of them from the apartment? You can try the above methods with vinegar or borax, but it’s crucial to find out which way ants get into your home. Secure the gaps and set the traps. If this doesn’t help, it’s worth referring to a specialist who will eliminate the pests.
How to get rid of ants from car?
In summer, ants like to check our vehicles. To get rid of them, it’s worth thoroughly vacuuming the entire interior of the car, and also check if there are no insects under the hood. It’s a good idea to go to the car wash and wash the windows with high-pressure water. Then, it’s worth setting up special traps in the car, which you can buy at the station or in a hypermarket – it’s better to choose a sticky scent plate, because other preparations may clump when wet.
